pipesandcigars.com Coco-Nut
(2.50)
Russ' Coco-Nut is a mellow aromatic made with nutty burley and sweet Virginia. The burley brings a naturally occurring cocoa note, and the blend is enhanced by some coconut and roasted nut flavors. The result is a subtle combination of chocolate, coconut, and nuts -a tasty treat. The aroma is smooth and pleasant - definitely an all-day type of blend.

The idea of Coconut as a tobacco flavor intrigues me, so let's see if ol' Russ can work some magic here. Annoyingly, this was always out of stock when I wanted to order it, but third time around was a charm.
The bag opens to a warm, pleasant, sweet Coconut aroma, that is neither overly drenched, reaking of chemicals, nor reminiscent of tanning oil. The mostly tan Burley was cut well and the perfect moisture to pack and go without worry. The first few puffs were mild with a gentle sugar haze, that yeah, did remind me a bit of the Coconut cereal I had for breakfast. Refreshingly, this was not another ultra Vanilla candy Cavendish affair, though things did get samey by bowls end.
As noted on pipesandcigars website, it really was an all day smoker. Not terribly complex, requiring little attention, to the delight of those in the room.

Wonderful pouch note. Packs easily and burns very well. High quality tobaccos and a wonderful Cocoa and nut flavor throughout the course of the smoke. Burns clean with no goop and only required one relight. Well worth a try!
