Chieftain - Lazy Day Mixture.
Removing the lid reveals a blend which has an identical appearance to Ashton's Guilty Pleasure. The nose is quite olfactory, having mango at the forefront. The moisture's resplendent, so no airing's required.
The smoke? Quite decadent! The fruit outweighs the vanilla, with the mango being easy to identify. There's also a tart, almost passion fruit, like flavour. I get an infinitesimal 'touch' of vanilla, a slight smoothing, but this doesn't have the weight of the other additives. Of the tobaccos I get more Burley and Virginia; the Burley leads by a jot. I find the Cavendish (black) joins the added vanilla by giving a subtle 'calmness' to the smoke, but nothing too sticky. As we're on 'Lockdown' I've smoked my pipe solidly and am yet to have a single bite from this. Also, adding to the comfort, is the temperature of the smoke: cool.
Nicotine: below medium. Room-note: nice.
Lazy Day Mixture? I couldn't smoke it regularly, as an 'all day smoke', but it deserves three stars:
Recommended.
