The dry, nutty, earthy, very woody, mildly sharp, lightly sour and spicy white burley takes a little of the lead. The toasty, mildly sugary unsweetened black cavendish is a supporting player, toning down some, but not all of the roughness. The smoky, woody, earthy, musty, sweet Cyprian Latakia is a secondary player that plays a little higher than the percentage in the mix. The strength is a couple of steps past the center of mild to medium. That taste falls a hair short of the medium threshold. The nic-hit is in the center of mild to medium. Won’t bite, but I do recommend a slow puffing cadence due to the amount of white burley. Burns fairly cool and very clean, and tad fast with a mostly consistent, savory and moderately sweet, campfire flavor from top to bottom. Hardly leaves any moisture in the bowl, and requires only a few relights. Has a lightly lingering after taste and room note. Can be an all day smoke for the veteran smoker, and is repeatable for the less experienced. Reminds me a little of a less sweeter, lighter version of Barking Dog. Three and a half stars.
