This is a pleasing English, in which the Virginias tend to dominate and the latakia provides smokiness and depth.
I can't say that this blend is outstanding, but the quality is good and it is not unpleasant. The red Virginias make it bite a bit if you aren't careful, but they also add a nice tanginess.
So, while a little middle-of-the-road, this is not bad stuff. You've got my permission to try it.;>

Nope. This one was a waste of money. I even tried using for blending but actually had better results using less expensive pouch options like John Bull. I’ve now fussed with this blend for six years since I first put it in a jar. It’s not getting any better. The problem for me is that it is very lightweight and has no compensating spice or complexity to redeem itself. The Latakia is probably the most lightly cured I’ve ever tried, and the Virginias lack weight on the palate, the brights especially problematic in that they have been minimally tempered, giving off a bitter herbal note that settles at the bottom of the bowl. This makes the last quarter of the bowl unpleasantly bitter. At this elevated price, or any price, I don’t recommend it, but I’m still giving two stars because it is at least smokable if you have nothing else.
