This is like Peter Laurie attempting to be Rick. The nutty, sugariness of the Burley and Cavendish are paramount, with the Latakia fighting to get through. It does make it and you end up with a confused concoction. I see a sailor, in the thirties, promenading the shores of Beirut, seeking out a girl ( or boy), wafting plumes of vanilla into the warm Mediterranean air. Am I butch or a pansy, tonight, he ponders. Well, this baccy gives you both, but not the best of. The burn is mid to long, unlike the Wilkie Balkan, which has a burn rate of an inch a minute. Burns fairly hot, keeping my ageing hands warm in the cool English evenings. Overall, pleasant enough, but not my cup of tea or rum.
