Holger Danske Golden Harmony
(2.39)
Blended by hand from loose cut Virginia tobaccos, rounded with ready rubbed burley, black cavendish and Oriental leaf.
Notes: Formerly known as "Mango and Vanilla", due to regulations this blend is now called "Golden Harmony" and it now comes in a 40 grams pouch. Also, the recipe has been changed a bit. The old pouch description was, "A blend of selected, slightly toasted Virginia and burley tobaccos. The aroma of mellow mango fruit topped with a touch of vanilla gives this mixture a unique tropical character."

If you are a fan of sweet aromatic pipe tobacco and if you are not a big fan of cavendish at the same time, this tobacco is then for you!
I somewhat enjoyed it, but I don't think I will buy it again, since I don't enjoy very sweet tobaccos.

This is a good aromatic and I would rate it 3 stars if there weren't so many mixtures available that are even better. It didn't bite or leave any goop in my pipe as so many other aros do. I enjoyed the tin of it but I doubt I will ever get another.

Holger Danske - Mango and Vanilla.
The aroma from this is mostly Vanilla, there is a slight fruity touch to it but the Vanilla definitely outweighs the fruit. The mixture has a good level of moisture to it so it can be used straight away. My blend appears to contain an equal amount of each of the two varieties of weed, all in even sizes.
When I am smoking this I feel a touch perplexed, the taste is diametric to what the aroma led me to believe. I thought the Vanilla would take the lead, leaving the Mango way back but to my surprise the fruit takes the pole position making the Vanilla seem redundant. At the beginning the flavour is pleasant enough but after the first ten minutes it develops a bitter flavour which is not a pleasure as it leaves a coating of gloop in my mouth. I must say that this bites me hard, even when sipped I still get bit by it. The burn from this is consistent, from start to finish it only needs a touch of the flame if I put it aside to talk for too long and when the pipe is finished there is only a very small amount of dottle left behind.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: pleasant.
I score this two stars as for me it has a few issues which are not compensated for by the taste: a bit boring!
Somewhat recommended.

Easy smoke but does not give the Mango and Vanilla note.

Update:
I did not throw the pouch away. Three months later for some unclear reason I decided to give it another try.
Now the casing is not as intense. Most of it must have evaporated, so the tobacco can be smoked. For me, this means an upgrade to "somewhat recommended".
I only decided to review this blend because of my huge disappointment.
I do not think that the tobaccos in this blend are of any significance. There is an extremely strong chemical flavor of rotten Mango, which hides away everything else.
It is the first pouch of tobacco I did not manage to finish, no matter how hard I tried.
I would recommend Brebbia Allegro Mixture #4 as an alternative to the curious.

Only smoking aromatics on occasion, I was pleasantly suprised. What a nice tropical like vanilla. A nice change from the usual. It will burn you, of course- A great one for the tool box. I suspect it might have calories.....

It is a nice aromatic, actually among all aromatics that I've smoked this one deserves a try.
You will not notice much of the taste you want... neither mango nor vanilla will catch your attention, but it has some fruitty unclear taste that I think is nice but not very special. Make sure to use a pipe for aromatics, I recomend a corncob pipe.
Room note is not that great but pleasant, the people around you will not get impressed. The smell out of the tin is just fantastic, unfortunatelly it does not translate into the tobacco itself!
If you're looking for a nice aromatic or in the begining of your pipe experience this is a good start in aromatics.
* Make sure to dry out a bit, aromatics tend to burn hot when too moist! Let it take some fresh air 😉
