HU Tobacco White Horses

(3.50)
White Horses - I love the raw charm of the Bretonic coasts. The monotone ride of "White Horses" - that's how you call the white crests of waves - stimulate my thoughts just as much as the pleasure of smoking a pipe with a stout tobacco. White Horses is a medium strength tobacco consisting of a high percentage of sweet Virginias, Kentucky, some Havana leaf and perique. Kentucky isn't thought of as being complex, yet well blended, it lends White Horses exactly the touch of spicy and boldness that you'd wish for, without making the blend monochromatic. The White Horses is just as lovable as the raw, Bretonic coasts.
Notes: Released at Lohmar Pipe Show 2018.

The various Virginias offer a bit of tangy dark fruit, wood and earth as well as some tart and tangy citrus and grass, along with a touch of fermentation as the base of the blend. It’s mostly a team player. The woody, herbal, vegetative, sweet and lightly dry, sour and floral, earthy, very mildly spicy dark fired Kentucky is a supporting player. The sweet, lightly leathery, mildly floral, vegetative, herbal, earthy, woody, slightly spicy Havana leaf is a secondary player, and is a step more obvious than the spicy, raisiny, plumy perique, which is closer to being in the background. The strength barely makes the medium threshold, while the taste sits squarely on that mark. The nic-hit is nearly as potent as the strength and body of the blend. Won’t bite or get harsh, and is smoother than expected. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a rich, mildly bold, complex and consistent flavor from top to bottom. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant, lightly lingering after taste and room note. Can be an all day smoke.
