The various Virginias provide a fair amount of citrus, a mild grassiness, some earth and ripe dark fruit along with a bare hint of floral. The perique is a condiment that offers raisins, stewed figs, and a small spice note. The strength and taste levels are closer to mild than they are to medium. The nic-hit is very mild. No chance of bite or harshness, and has no rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with a very consistent, smooth flavor. Hardly leaves any dampness in the bowl, and requires a tad more than an average number of relights. Has a pleasant short lived after taste. An all day smoke that is very reminiscent of Peter Heinrichs Curly Special. Three stars fresh, but as is the case with the Curly Special, it ought to be four stars with age.
