The citrusy, grassy golden Virginia forms the base of the blend. The nutty, earthy, mildly woody, slightly spicy and sharp burleys compete for attention, and here and there are a tad more obvious than the Virginia. The unsweetened black cavendish provides some brown sugar as a condiment. The black cherry topping sublimates the tobaccos to a moderate extent, though it weakens a little in the last quarter of the pipe. The taste level is just past mild. The nic-hit almost reaches the mild threshold. It does have bite potential, and the Danish-like spice may tingle the tongue of a fast puffer. Burns clean at a reasonable pace with a fairly consistent flavor. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. Has a short lived after taste, weaker than smoking experience itself. Can be an all day smoke.
