Cornell & Diehl - Engine #611.

LOL, not the kind of vanilla aromatic I'd recommend for a newbie!

Supplied from bulk so I'm unable to comment on the moisture from a tin, but this pouch was smack on. The aroma isn't like your usual vanilla aromatics, it's a little fragrant. The blend is mainly a mix of browns, hardly any blacks, and apart from a few coarser pierces, it's mostly made of well rubbed ribbons.

The flavour's quite unusual for a vanilla aromatic. It isn't sticky, sweet, or clumsy. The vanilla has a sort of herby quality to it, as well as some vanilla-sweetness; it's 'edgier' than the most of this genre, hence why I wouldn't suggest it to a new smoker. The tobaccos? Engine #611 is more of a VaBur aromatic, the black Cavendish seems virtually vacant. It burns steadily, giving a cool, bite free, smoke.

Nicotine: not too mild. Room-note: not good.

Engine #611? To be blunt, I don't like it. Not recommended:

One star.
