Sutliff Tobacco Company Natural Cavendish #10
(2.33)
Where some tobaccos are heavily cased in alcohol flavourings, this has only been given a touch of cognac atop a blend of Burleys and Virginias, making for a mild, aromatic smoke.

The earthy, nutty, woody, lightly molasses sweet burleys take a small lead. The Virginias provide some tart and tangy citrus, grass, honey, light earth, tangy dark fruit and wood, and a slight floral note as a supporting player. The cognac topping mildly sublimates the tobaccos, and synergistically helps create a very consistent smoothly sweet flavor from top to bottom. The strength and nicotine levels are mild. The taste is a step past that mark. Won’t bite or get harsh. Has a couple of very small rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace with short lived, pleasant after taste, and room note. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. An all day smoke that might make a good mixer, too.
