Peterson - Summertime 2017.
I always look forward to the Peterson limited editions, they just make the time of year seem perfect. Peterson Summertime 2017? Spot on.
The blend's presented as a fairly coarse ribbon. Because the tin isn't air sealed shut, the tobacco's just in a pouch under a push-on lid, the moisture of the blend's good. It smells strongly aromatic, very fruity, but also slightly sharp.
To sit outside under the summer sun this is faultless! I find the peaches stronger than the apples: sweet, and a little sharp. The apples sit quite a way behind. Where the tobaccos are concerned it's mainly the Cavendish's I taste; I find the black Cavendish gives weight to the smoke with a kind of vanilla flavour, and the brown Cavendish gives a honey sweetness which really rounds things off. The VaBur side is easily outweighed by these two, IMO. The burn from 2017 is cool and consistent, requiring little maintenance.
The room-note's good, albeit that's a moot point as I'll smoke this outside in the sun, and the nicotine's mild.
Easy: a four star summer smoke!
Highly recommended.

Very pleasing. A strong fruity aroma. Lasts a long time in the Pipe without relighting. Sometimes a peach citrus flavour, other times a little more aromatic and sweet. Definitely one for the summer. A good car smoke on a long journey.
