Peter Heinrichs No. 78
(2.00)
Translated from the official German Peter Henrichs website: A pleasantly dark looking mixture with selected Tennessee burley tobaccos and a bit of Orientals that deserves your attention. This "cavendish-cut" of 1.5mm has been pressed and matured for 2 weeks, to get a fruity and mild smoking experience. A tobacco that tastes good no matter if you're working or taking your time to relax while smoking it. The slow burn of this mixture allows the smoker to lay down the pipe for a minute, without having to relight instantly.

This tobacco is just what it's description says!
It is a nice dark - no black(!) tobacco, pretty fine cut (1,5mm). Looks interesting! Easy to pack, easy to light.
Its a nice mellow Burley taste you get, a little nutty, "smooth" would describe this one pretty good. In addition to this you get a nice fruity note from the first puffs on. I can't identify it as what fruit it is, but i guess its several fruity-aromas in there. Very decently added, I really wouldnt call this a aromatic at all! It feels very natural, not agressive or artificial. Unfortunately the description doesn't say what Orientals they added. They aren't really that much recognizable, id guess it is some sweet-tasting kind of Oriental, there is definetly no sourness, anything.
Just very well balanced, smooth and tasty. BUT this is just nothing special to me. Good smoke, but just doesnt make it in the daily rotation.
mhm.. mediocre! 2 stars only from me!
