Motzek Ralf's Burley Cup
(3.25)
Mellow-sweet nuttiness, dark chocolate and fine roasted aroma of finest coffee. With 65% burley and various Virginias this is a dark, yet velvety smooth experience for the burley lover. A tasty specialty that's unique through and through.
Notes: "Ralf" is Ralf Dings aka "Ralliegruftie" a member of the Germany pipe community and YouTuber. This blend was blended on him asking Tom Darasz for a beginner friendly, yet full-bodied burley mixture.

Ralf is a legend over here who has deep down connections to all of the scenes manufacturers and this one is especially blended for him by the quite rightly hyped TAK blender Tom Darasz. I'm not a Burley lover at all but I had to try this after being vowed by many friends.
Look in pouch is nice and of dark brown color only. It's a broken flake rubbed out very loose and so it packs and takes flames well then burns slow and even until the end with no tongue bite but doesn't like to be smoked hot as the flavor gets lost then.
Tastes are sweet and very much of chocolate nuances building a warm, nutty body. The added aromas are well dosed (sadly I can't define coffee in there) and never overriding the true tobacco tastes, which get a bit stronger to the end adding character.
Medium to full bodied Burley-Based with just enough added flavors, that for sure will satisfy any Burley fan and where the hell is that condensate gone there's hardly any cleaning necessary. So why just 2/4 stars. That's just my personal rating as I don't enjoy too much Burley in a blend. Nevertheless, I'd recommend it.
