McClelland - M-60 Brandywine.
As you can see from the picture the Burley is quite fine in comparison to the coarser black Cavendish. It arrived moist, but not so bad as to impede smoking it fresh. The aroma certifies it as being a brandy aromatic.
The smoke has been enhanced in a nice way by the brandy. I get very little sharp alcohol but lots of brandy sweetness. This flavouring has more weight for the first third. The black Cavendish is the stronger of the tobaccos, but the nutty Burley can be identified with ease. I get no fresh Virginia, the smoke consists of only black Cavendish and Burley. The burn from it's good, but I do get a little bit of bite. This bite is the reason for three stars, not four.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: pleasant.
A good blend:
Recommended.
