Ole Shenandoah Summer Brandy Berry (Appalachian Berry)
(2.86)
The third entry in the Ole Shenandoah series is Appalachian Berry. The blend is predominantly black cavendish made with premium quality Green River burley. A modicum of bright Virginia is added to make the blend easy to keep lit. It has a robust berry flavor added that gives off an amazing room note, but comes through gently on the palate. Ole Shenandoah Appalachian Berry is easily one of the most pleasant aromatic tobaccos we've ever tried!

It advertises Berry and that's what you get. It smells great in the tin, slightly damp to the touch. Smoked several times and notices that despite the slight dampness of the tobacco, absolutely no bite, and it's a tobacco that burns to a white ash. Tastes as described and not candy sweet like a sugar injection, but more like a berry fruit sweetness. Told the room note is rather pleasant. "Cool" smoke and flavor. Will buy again and would recommend.

This has a VERY strong aroma of berries. Rather than smelling like a specific berry, it smells like the intended medley.
The taste is not as strong as the smell, but it is there for sure. It definitely tastes of berry, more strongly on the retrohale, and I can taste a bit of the burley nuttiness as well. It is reminiscent of hookah as far as the flavor level goes. The flavor is distinct but light, and sweet, but a natural sweetness. I occasionally tasted something like vanilla and it reminded me of a dessert like a parfait.
This is very refreshing, particularly suited for warm weather.
I found this gave off more smoke when just sitting in the pipe than I usually see, and the tobacco burned to a fine white ash.
