Hearth & Home Scot's Delight
(2.50)
Frenchy's Sunzabitches has been a popular H&H blend for years. But a lot of people find that, while they love the flavor, it can be a bit too potent at times. If you're one of those folks, welcome Hearth & Home Signature Scot's Delight. This Cavendish-cut blend of Burley, Virginia and a bit of black Cavendish is kissed by a subtle touch of whiskey flavor, and less wallop than Frenchy's.

Heath & Home - Scot's Delight.
Upon opening I'm presented with a mid-size ribbon, medium brown in colour, without any black pieces (a contradistinction to the current list of ingredients saying black Cavendish!), and there's a definite alcoholic/whiskey aroma. The moisture of my tin was perfect. It's all concealed underneath a clear-plastic cap, when the lid's removed.
Scot' takes to the flame with great ease, and gives a pleasant enough flavour. But, in all fairness, where whiskey aro's go I preferred the Super Value Bourbon' I posted a few weeks back! Anyhoo, forget that, let's talk Scot's Delight! It isn't strongly flavoured with sharp, cutting, grog. Instead the whiskey gives a subtle fragrance on top of the tobaccos. The tobaccos leave me somewhat nonplussed. See, there's absolutely zero black Cav'; no sticky, vanilla, sweetness. Instead it resembles a basic cavendished VaBur mixture. The taste isn't too bad, unfortunately the mechanics of it let it down; it burns darn hot.
Nicotine: below medium. Room-note: quite pleasant.
Scot's Delight? Hmmmm, the smoke tastes ok, but the physical aspects let it down. So, two stars it is:
Somewhat recommended.
