Hearth & Home Harvest Moon
(2.67)
Hearth & Home Signature Harvest Moon is the first H&H blend featuring one of the most popular flavors - smooth, sweet cherry. This cavendish-cut blend of burley and Virginia with a dash of black cavendish has a subtle note of cherry that's comes through more in the aroma than the flavor.

Hearth & Home - Harvest Moon.
I bought a few Hearth & Home blends a while ago so have decided to review some. I posted Olde Tyme Swirl about a week ago and quite enjoyed it. So, Harvest Moon?
The majority of the blend comprises a well broken flake, there are a few slightly coarser pieces, but mostly it's been well rubbed. Medium brown is the general colour, it includes a few lighter pieces, but I see no black Cavendish. The moment I removed the plastic 'topper' I identified perfect hydration. I notice a mild cherry aroma, but nothing strong.
The smoke? The cherry flavouring is unquestionable, albeit, fairly natural; not bitter, not acidic, and not too sweet. The cherries seem to have a little more energy for the first quarter. As anticipated from the appearance, the tobacco flavour's VaBur. I get no black Cavendish 'gloop', instead I get a Burley-heavy VaBur. I do get a little tongue bite from it, at times, so I approach it with a gentle technique. The burn from it's a bit quick, so needs little maintenance, and can become way too warm.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: pleasant.
Harvest Moon? Hmmm, it's a nice enough flavour, but not the best mechanically. Two stars:
Somewhat recommended.
