The tobacco is mostly a medium ribbon with a few fish flakes of black. It is primarily black and dark brown. There are a few thin tan short ribbons. The pouch note is a slight sour with campfire. Hydration was good - perhaps slightly on the dry side. I smoked it as delivered.
Smoked, this is a pleasant but unremarkable. The latakia is the star here, and it is fairly mild. There are a few oriental sour notes. The Virginia is grassy and adds some sweet. Smoking qualities were very good and it was an easy smoke. My impression is that the component tobaccos were very high quality.
This is probably a 2.5 on my scale. I could smoke a lot of it, but I think there are better choices in this corner of the blend "world." It would make a great introduction to latakia for someone hesitant about being overwhelmed. It is basic and not too complicated. There is no topping I could discern, so it is not a "crossover."
