Dobie's Dobie's Four Square-English

(3.17)
Dobie's 4 Square has included some legendary blends, and 4 Square English is destined to join them. For those who prefer their latakia blends to be more subtle, this is a great choice. A modest amount of Cyprian latakia is joined by bright Virginias, and instead of the typical Orientals, a bit of silky burley to add body. If you want a latakia blend that can be enjoyed all day, try 4 Square English.

I love this! I smoke both aromatic and English blends so I'm not prejudiced toward either camp. I tend to smoke aromatics a bit more because I've never found any English I enjoyed at all times of the day. Until now. Dobies works morning, noon, or night. The tobaccos in this blend are in complete harmony. No single tobacco outpaces another during the smoke. Smooth sailing all the way. Great flavor, cool smoking and an absolute pleasure. I just ordered more.

Tin note of smoky, tart sauce and spices. Tobacco is a Ribbon cut of brown, black and tan. Moisture content is great. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and very consistent, with notes of smoky, sweet spiced dark fruit, floral, peaty vegetation, sugar, very woody, earthy, leather, toast, nutty, incense, tangy citrus, orange peel/zest, dry, savory, a tart lemon and sweet grass background note, and a peppery retro. Virginia is leading with Cavendish, Burley and Latakia supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great.
