Because I have smoked the entire line of Dobie's originals over and over again over the years (with great appreciation for all of them), I purchased the full line-up of the remakes to see how they stacked up. This one is not a remake as I've never seen an old Dobie's Aromatic, although I may have just missed it.
Dobie's Aromatic has a little heat to it, so puff slowly. Quality leaf in a slightly cloying ribbon form. Not much variance in flavor as you work your way down the bowl and you will certainly taste honey and vanilla as well as a fruity essence. Not the natural kind of sweetness that comes with the impressions of old time blends from across the pond that used natural flavoring. Burned clean for an aromatic and may indeed be a home run for the light aromatic crowd.
