(3.60)
RO Series Perique Blend GP-11 contains perique grown in the Grand Point region. This has more of the traditional characteristics of perique, with a fruitiness and sweet spice and a hint of cocoa. Russ blended this with some exceptional bright Virginia and double toasted burley to allow the natural flavor of this unique perique to shine.
Tin label: Perique Blend GP-11uses Perique from the Grand Point region mixed with sweet Virginia and toasted Burley. It has a spiciness with hints of wine and a fair amount of cocoa. It seems somewhat mellow, but it has plenty of rich body.

Perique Blend GP-11 is a pretty good VaPer. Grand Point Perique has a nice spiciness and blends well with the selected Virginia. For me the blend of grassy Virginia and spicy Perique combine to create a flavor that I like to describe as clean and refreshing.
Clean and refreshing might sound like an odd way to describe a flavor but that's the experience I get, and this particular VaPer certainly provides that.
Some might say the toasted Burley adds body, but for me it muddies the flavor. It kind of reminds me of those VaPer coins with the DFK or Cavendish centers. Personally, I prefer just a pure VaPer without any "body" or third tobacco added.
When all is said and done GP-11, although a pretty good VaPer, is a bit on the pricey side. There are certainly better VaPers out there at much more reasonable prices. So my advice is to save your dough, you're not going to experience any great epiphanies smoking this one.
