Seattle Pipe Club - Pioneer Square.
In the tin, underneath the clear plastic cap, sits a medium brown, well rubbed ribbon, with a few lighter coloured pieces. The blend gives off a slightly sweet, aroma, with there also being a delicate floral addition from the honey. My moisture was good, straight away.
I like the smoke, but I don't love it. There's nothing particularly 'bad' about it, it just bores me! It lights easy and gives a cool, independent, burn. After smoking only this since early morning I haven't noticed a touch of bite. The honey outweighs the vanilla, definitely; tasting sweet and mildly floral. The vanilla hasn't been added with as much fervour, so only offers the smoke a gentle smoothing. To me, the Cavendish process has removed a lot of the sharp, lively, citrusy, Virginia qualities, and replaced them with a mild, sweet-hay, character.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.
Pioneer Square? Although it's a little boring, it's better than two stars. Recommended:
Three stars.
