The nutty, earthy, woody burley, and the rather citrusy, grassy Virginia are barely noticeable. The sugar from the black cavendish is more obvious. The deep, rich, mildly tart, very sweet cherry topping greatly sublimates the varietals, and also sports a slight creamy, and lightly distracting syrupy note. The strength just passes the mild mark, while the taste barely steps over the medium level. The nic-hit is sparse. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns cool and clean, and a tad slow as the tobacco is a little moist. The flavor is consistent from beginning to end. Leaves some moisture in the bowl, and requires a little more than an average number of relights. Has a very pleasant, lightly lingering after taste and room note. The cherry is intense enough that I would not classify this as an all day smoke, but it is repeatable. Two and a half stars.

I like a good cherry, the surprising thing about this is the cherry is almost an afterthought. You definitely get it in the tin note but it's not as fragrant as say a Blood Red Moon. It packs easily and the light is not an issue. The room note is also subtle. It's one I could see as an all day smoke, in fact, I smoked through several bowls while on various conference calls the day of writing this review. The first thing that I notice is almost a smooth creaminess from the Cavendish and then just a hint of the cherry top. The top provides a sweet note that I think is enhanced by the Virginia, or maybe vice versa. There is very little change throughout although I did notice that the burley pops it head up near the end of each bowl just to say hi. There was almost no goop and the ashes burned to grayish almost white color. This may make it's way to my regular rotation.
