The nutty sweet burley, like the less obvious black cavendish, is sublimated by the raspberry topping. I get a minor essence of cherry creme and sugar. The toppings are richly sweet with a mild tangy, creamy smooth quality. Despite the toned down tobacco taste, you will always notice the burley. There’s mild woodiness that apparently comes from the burley and is also noticeable in the room note. The nic-hit is very limited. The taste is just below the medium level. The tobacco is a little moist, but I saw no need to dry it. Burned a little less than a moderate pace, cool and clean with a very consistent flavor from start to finish. Needs an average number of relights. Leaves some moisture in the bowl, but no goop or dottle. Won’t bite or get harsh even if pushed. Has a pleasantly lingering after taste, and does well as an all day smoke.
