The Virginia was grassy with some citrus and formed the base of the blend. The burley was toasty and nutty sweet with a drop of molasses as a second lead. The perique was a minor component, offering light spice and raisin. The Cyprian latakia provided a very mild smokey, woody push. The Kentucky was also present in a small amount, lightly woody and nutty. The fruit and rum toppings were sweet, and mildly applied, so it tended to work with the tobaccos rather than to sublimate them. The rum was barely noticeable. The nic-hit was mild. Wouldn't bite. Burned smooth and clean at a moderate pace with few relights, and left little moisture in the bowl. Was an all day smoke, which as many people know, a favorite of Albert Einstein.
