To my palate this is a virginia/perique blend with trace amounts of latakia. The bready sweetness of the virginia is right up front along with the plummy spice of the perique. A pleasant nose burn on the retrohale. I know latakia is in this blend because it's evident in the bag note but in the smoke it's hardly noticeable. This would be ideal for folks who want an English blend that leans more towards a virginia. It's very tasty and burns really nice. It's sort of reminds me of Rattray's Hal O' the Wynd with latakia instead of DFK. Some virginias have that deep toned sweetness like bakery bread, and other have the bright citrus note. This blend showcases the former which is probably elevated by the nuttiness of burley. Worth picking up!
