The Country Squire Tobacconist Cornishman
(3.50)
Our original English blend with a generous portion of Latakia. Full flavored, yet kind to the mouth and soft. Medium-to-slow burning.
Notes: Cornishman was the favorite tobacco of our founder, Jim Reeves. Developed early in The Squire's history, it is quite popular.
Mr. Reeves named Cornishman such because of his fondness an old legend: apparently in medieval England, the king would send tax collectors to Cornwall (whose residents are termed Cornish) to collect tribute; but the tax collectors mysteriously disappeared. Again and again the king would send them, but they never came back! The king, frustrated, learned quickly that he had to send an army with his tax collectors when they visited Cornwall, because the Cornishmen did NOT like taxes!

A good "English" blend for those wanting to move to "English" Blends. Love the taste. This was my main blend until I "graduated" to their Angry Cornishman blend. (Which tastes the same but with a little more latakia)
If you are an "English" fan, I don't see how you can't like this blend.

creamy, sweet and smooth, not expected at all when i first lit it up. has latakia but its very mild in the smoke and really showed itself in the after taste. takes the flame easily and was perfect for smoking right out of the bag. there was almost a vanilla like sweetness which i could only imagine comes from some sort of flavoring, it melded well with the tobaccos and only really came through for me in the retrohale. i didn't dectect it at all while nosing the bag.
a smoke to be enjoyed any time of day.

A refined full flavor English blend. The warm aroma right from the jar, followed by a wonderful flavors and room notes. The Latakia flavors are not overwhelming and very pleasant. There is a natural sweetness to this fine blend. A cool slow smoke all the way through the bowl.
