Gawith Hoggarth - LR3 Coarse Cut.
This is a good blend, it's nothing fabulous but still, it would make a good 'go-to'.
There isn't really a great deal to report about the taste; a lot of smokers might find it quite boring, yet those who appreciate a simpler blend would probably adore it. It doesn't taste like it's a straight Virginia to me, there's too much depth to the flavour; the Virginia grass tones are backed up by a nuttiness. Although there's the stereotypical Virginia grassy-sweetness I don't find it very citrusy at first, it takes about ten minutes for the zestier notes to come alive!
The burn's very steady and the courser cut gives quite a cool smoke making it very easy to enjoy.
I like this; it's not spectacular, but it would make a good regular smoke.
Recommended.
