McGahey - Brentor Whiskey.
This looks, to me, a lot more like a mixture than just a ready rubbed blend; when I looked in the pouch I could see some broken Virginia flakes, ribbons of Black Cavendish, and some golden ribbons. The blends appearance seems a bit different to the description on here!
The whiskey seems a lot stronger from the pouch in comparison to the strength of flavour; it's present in the smoke, but it's VERY light. The taste seems, to me, not at all aromatic, but ever so slightly enhanced; EVER SO SLIGHTLY.
A vast amount of the taste comes naturally from the tobaccos; a very ripe and full Virginia flavour with a sweet Cavendish touch behind it.
The descriptions right about it being mild with no tongue bite. The temperature's cool as well.
The burn this gives is steady and doesn't keep needing re-lights; once it's burning it does so well.
This is an enjoyable blend; it's a bit of an antithesis to the description: a very light aromatic side, it's not 'all brown', and it's more of a Mixture as opposed to being a Ready Rubbed, but it's quite good!
I wouldn't smoke it regularly but I'd happily recommend it.
Three stars.
