Hearth & Home Drawing Room
(3.33)
Drawing Room is a rich and fragrant Latakia-based blend with a robust Oriental influence. Sweet, matured Virginias are combined with a hearty dose of Cyprian Latakia, and then finished with fine Izmir and just a touch of Perique for added body, sweetness, and spice. A great after-dinner smoke, unwind with full-bodied, exotic Drawing Room.
Notes: Introduced in 2015.

Drawing Room consists of brown and black ribbon cut tobaccos. The browns are long and stringy and the blacks are broad and short. Moisture level is a little dry but smoke ready. Pouch note is smoky Latakia, sour Izmir, and sweet Virginias.
Hearth & Home’s Drawing Room is an Oriental forward Balkan blend. The Izmir is sour and tangy. There is plenty of Smoky Latakia but it’s not as predominant as it is in other Hearth & Home Balkans. The Perique is very light and adds an overall spicy character which complements the sour Izmir.
I would describe Drawing Room as a medium Balkan blend. Some might say a lighter version of Hearth & Home’s Cerberus.
There are plenty of pipe smokers who enjoy the tang of sour Oriental tobaccos in which case Drawing Room could be a very desirable choice. However, I'm discovering that I enjoy lighter aromatic Orientals more so than tangy sour Izmir, so two stars for this blend.
