pipesandcigars.com Scotty's Honey & Chocolate

(3.50)
Scotty's Honey and Chocolate recreates Mac Baren's tobacco of the same name for those who miss it, only better. This blend of Virginia, Burley and black Cavendish is finished with a warm chocolate flavor, which is then sweetened with a touch of honey. The flavor is mellow and smooth, and the aroma is comforting. This is a perfect way to wind down after a hard day.

Another nice blend, its definitely worth a try. Nice smell, no bite, and the flavors seem to come through just right. I will be reviewing more of these blends, hopefully they will all impress me.

Scotty's Honey & Chocolate.

The coarse mixture includes more brown pieces than black. There's the occasional lighter coloured leaf but mostly it contains darker shades. The aroma from it suggests a sweet smoke, there's more honey than chocolate. Because the people at Tobaccopipes.com tightly roll the pouch before sealing it there's no dehydration occurred; it's actually slightly damp but I like that!

The smoke? Very flavoursome but it isn't deluged with loads of falseness or stickiness. To me, the chocolate sits behind the efflorescent, sweet, honey. I notice a creamy, sort of milky taste from the choc', but no cocoa bitterness; the honey's running the show here. Of the tobaccos I get pretty much nothing from the Virginia. But I get plenty of arboraceous Burley and more than enough phlegmatic, lazy, black Cavendish! The only sore point, for me, is it can nip a bit when pushed.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: scrumptious!

Scotty's Honey & Chocolate? A wonderful smoke, it's the slight bite which shaves a star off! Recommended:

Three stars.
