About Me
Having only picked up the pipe in 2013, it has been difficult for me to find a blend or mixture of tobacco that I do not love (something that was most definitely not true in my years of foolish folly with cigars). If I have given a single star, or merely a two-star recommend to a favorite blend of yours, please do not take it personally (it's me, not the tobacco). It is amazing to see how many seasoned palates with very similar tastes to my own will rate one of my chosen blends a single star, while I do the same for one of theirs. But when it comes to reviewing tobaccos, it's a lot like reviewing food, isn't it? Or music perhaps -- Pink Floyd and Pavarotti both rank four stars -- but two very different genres (blends) of music. I don't miss any of the tobaccos from the 1960s, '70s and/or 1980s because I never got a chance to smoke any of them. But I very much do enjoy the plethora of very fine tobaccos available today -- as I also very much believe that we are all living through a new Golden Age of pipe tobacco blending. Cheers!
