The nutty, earthy, woody burley, and the sugary black cavendish are mostly muted by the rich vanilla topping. There's a little caramel added, too. The strength is close to the center of mild to medium. The taste is just past that center. Has virtually no nicotine. Won't bite or get harsh. The tobacco needs a slight dry time. Burns cool and clean at just less than a moderate pace with a creamy smooth, sweet and consistent flavor. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and needs a few relights. Has a very pleasant after taste and room note. A comfortable all day smoke.

Looks handsome and smells delicious in the pouch. Cut is rough and aroma is a vanilla/chocolate/Caramel...all back a bit, but masking any tobacco aromas. It's not obnoxious or brash...very polite. The feel is light and not wet or sticky. As usual with a Country Squire blend it oozes quality in both the components and the process. The blend has great mechanics...meaning that it packs, lights and behaves well as it burns down. I can tell this is a Burley/Cavendish blend but the aromatics mostly cover the tobaccos. It doesn't want to burn hot and of course doesn't bite. The flavors are smooth and very nice. A friendly, easy smoke not requiring concentration, making it a good companion for work or play, field or shop, back porch or fireside.

Black & Tan is a fantastic aromatic that won't goop up your pipe. It stays lit well and leaves a pleasant room note that will be enjoyed by others. It features a creamy flavor with hints of caramel. Swing by The Country Squire or look them up online and get yourself some Black and Tan.

The absolutely, without a doubt best blend for a 1st time piper or for breaking in a pipe. If you get tongue bite off this blend, you are gonna have to try VERY hard to do so. And the easiest blend of any type to keep lit. A good light aromatic that will not goop up. Not an overpowering aromatic taste either.
Again, a great all day every day tobacco and the best beginner tobacco there is.

The quintessential tobacco taste and smell. We’ve I think all heard people say “oh I love the smell of a pipe, or my grandpa or uncle used to smoke a pipe and I can still remember the smell.” Well this is that, it’s every drugstore otc smell us from the 60s on remember except much better tasting and quality. I normally when someone asks who is just starting or just wants to have a blend that tastes great, smokes easy and cool but yet will give those around them the “pipe smell” tell them to get 1Q and that’s still true, it is the pipe smell. But I do find it a bit lacking in taste. I still smoke a ton of it but this blend is to me much more flavorful. The burly really helps, and you get some nicotine from it. This is such an easy blend to just pack and light, nothing special it just works. It is an aromatic but it doesn’t smoke like one. More of just an old school burly soft blend. I smoke for pleasure and a little nic hit is nice but I also am in a house with family and the smell is that which will be remembered and I believe that’s still important. We remember Sunday dinner with family and friends and the “smells” that were there all our lives and this one in my opinion cannot be beat! They are also some of the absolute nicest people you will find.
