The pouch aroma is very pleasant indeed, hinting (but not overpowering) at a columbian coffee. Not sure about the whiskey, don't get that. It's probably because it's a subtelty lost on me, and I've never been a lover of that particular tipple.
A very dark looking tobacco this one, and very moist too. Drying out recommended, but numerous relights are inevitable. With each relight the taste gets a little less. It doesn't seem to burn off completely though.
Like the Bath Breeze this also has American/Canadian properties in the feel and look, although this is an aromatic/english cross of some kind.
Well worth trying if you like coffee/liqour, but a horrible mess if you don't.
Will finish this jar full but won't bust a gut to buy it again.

Frederick Tranter-Gaelic Mixture. If you like a potent aromatic you won't go wrong with this!
The aroma from the pouch is a good note of the smoke that's about to come. I get a highly aromatic smell of coffee and whisky. By looking at the blend I'm not too sure whether this qualifies as a straight Virginia ; there are quite a few jet black pieces in there. It's a touch too moist so it needs some time to dry.
The first taste of this blend is exactly as I anticipated. Highly aromatic. The coffee takes a stronger stance than the whisky, the whisky gives more of a sharpness than actual flavour. It actually works quite well, for me!
Any wonder I had about this containing something other than Virginia is redundant. The added taste would cover any extra natural flavour!
Its nicotine content is relatively low. It's not REALLY weak but it's not too easy to identify.
Although I enjoy the flavour the thing that I don't get on with is the temperature of the smoke. It's one of those blends that can almost burn the tongue!
If it weren't for the temperature this would score well, however the heat has reduced it to only two stars.
Somewhat recommended.
