The Smoker Favorite
(2.00)
This is an English blend with strong Virginia character. Blended with top Cyrian Latakia and perique. This blend tends to remind some smokers of Rattray's Black Mallory. It is slow burning, and one of our original 1932 blends.

This is a classic Latakia dominant English blend. The composition is approximately 1/2 light and 1/2 dark tobaccos. The cut is mainly a fine granular with pieces of broken ribbon. This makes very slow smoking an absolute necessity! The beginning of the smoke starts out with the Latakia out front with just a hint of the sweet Virginias. The Perique is not evident at this point. As one progresses into the middle of the bowl the Virginias come out and begin to balance the Latakia. The Perique also begins to lend a slight smokiness to the mix. Towards the end the Perique really comes on strong and dominates (as it usually does in these English blends). The whole experience ends on a sweet dry note. Overall this mixture reminds me of Dunhill's Nightcap. It's perfect for the Latakia lover. Best smoked late at night or after your evening meal. Certainly not an all day smoke. Save this one for your smallest bowl pipes. (A small Meerschuum or Calabash is perfect). It took me over 1-1/2 hours to finish- and this was in a very small bowl!! Despite the name it's not one of my favorite blends from The Smoker but I would fire it up as a change of pace.
