The Virginias offer several very mild flavors: citrus, grass, earth, wood, and a touch of honey. The spice from them is a little more than mild. The natural sugar content is a little closer to medium than it is to mild. The burley has a very mild nuttiness, and a few drops of molasses in a support role. The Canadian maple, Belgian chocolate, English licorice, cocoa bean powder, and Guyana cane sugar are just noticeable, and really don’t add the complexity one would think given the multiplicity of toppings. The chocolate, cocoa, and maple are the lightly more obvious ones. The licorice whispers its aspects at its height. The nic-hit is very mild. The strength is mild and the taste level is mild to medium. Won’t bite, and has no harsh spots, though fast puffing will warm your tongue. If you puff like Superman on steroids, you could possibly encounter a light cigarette note, but you’ll have to work to do so. Burns at a slightly more than moderate pace, cool, clean, and smooth with a fairly consistent flavor. Requires few relights, and leaves just a little dampness in the bowl. Has a short lived sweet after taste and pleasant room note. A very easy going all day smoke, though the lack of depth and richness in some departments might not satisfy an all day smoker. Two and a half stars out of four.
