The grassy, mildly citrusy Virginia is the star component. The gold cavendish adds a little toast and honey. The black cavendish sports a mild vanilla taste. The toppings seem to have a little maple and molasses, and a slightly more obvious rum. They fairly tone down the tobaccos as they do in the original. The nic-hit is very mild. Won’t bite or get harsh. Burns at a moderate pace, cool, clean and smooth with a very plain taste. leaves little moisture in the bowl. The after taste is barely noticeable. I gave the original one star and this gets one and half, rounded up to two, mostly because this a little better and lacks the chemical taste of the original.
