Schürch Sangstone
(3.00)
This is another REALLY classic English mixture. It was made to honor one of Swizterland's great pipe smoking champions. This is the first time this mixture is offered in bulk/loose form.

Yet another winning English blend from Schurch. This one is a medium cut blend that is middle of the road in terms of the strength of the latakia. The latakia is well balanced by the Virginias and perique. Sangstone leans less towards the latakia end of the spectrum than Torina, Tarek's Robusto or Onyx, but more so than Amoun. This one is somewhat lighter in color than all but the Amoun, but does not burn as hot as Amoun. The room note is less offensive to others than the stronger blends.
I am rating this one as 3 out of 4, though I typically prefer a stronger latakia.
