I started pipe-smoking during my first stint in the Army in 1980. I can't say I'm an everyday piper, but I enjoy both the pipes and the tobaccos in my collection.

I was lucky enough to land a job at my local tobacconist when I was first married. Lucky because the owner is a friend of mine, and also because it gave me the opportunity to learn a great deal about tobaccos, pipes and the trade. I miss those days, but have fond memories because of them.

I've recently reconnected with my collection, and it's been like finding a long-lost friend. While I've been a membre of this site for about six years, I have written very few reviews. I hope to correct that in the continuing days.
