Gawith Hoggarth- - Kendal Vanilla Flake.
This is a delicious smoke! Where it differs from the likes of Mac Baren Vanilla Cream Flake and other tinned flakes is the size. Unlike those which are sized accordingly to the tin this is bulk so the flakes haven't been trimmed down to fit into said tin. They must be six inches long! They are fairly dark in colour and give off a sweet/vanilla aroma. They are a little moist, not 'wet' but a small airing is beneficial.
Once lit I find the flavour truly captivating. The vanilla comes through at a perfect weight to identify it but at no point does it taste gloopy or too false. Although the vanilla takes the lead role the tobaccos don't pass by un-noticed. The Virginia is the slightly stronger out of the two but the nuttiness haling from the Burley gives it great depth of flavour. The temp' of the smoke is exceedingly cool and it doesn't bite me at any point. I find the room note awesome from Kendal Vanilla, the vanilla comes through beautifully. There isn't a great deal of N in this one, it's not like puffing fresh air but it isn't particularly strong, medium at most.
I often find aromatics to be overwhelming but this one has an almost crisp taste that I adore. Highly recommended.
