Alfie Turmeaus Sweet Leaf
(2.00)
A combination of sweetly flavoured aromatics with Latakia and Havana cigar leaf. This is a rich and smoky tobacco and the use of cigar leaf adds a little more depth to the blend.

Alfie Turmeaus-Sweet Leaf. The pouch note from this is quite good, it's slightly sweet yet not too aromatic.
There is quite an even split in colour, about 50/50 black and light brown.
It's of a good moisture amount straight from the pouch and this was a brand new purchase so if it were too damp it hasn't had time enough for it to decrease in the loose pouch.
The taste has a smokiness to it albeit nowhere near as smoky as something like Sam Gawith Balkan Flake. It's a lot gentler than I expected.
The other gentle addition is the added flavour. There is a slight sweetness from say maple but again this is very gentle.
The burn is good but the temperature from it is too warm, it's not that pleasant.
The next thing to highlight that decreases the pleasure is tongue bite. One word.... ouch!
The nicotine is pretty strong in this, not ridiculous but definitely present.
This isn't the worst thing I've loaded a pipe with but I can't say I enjoy it much.
Somewhat recommended.
