Gauntleys Of Nottingham Vanilla
(3.00)
This heavily cased blend of cavendish (both gold and black), burley and bright flue-cured Virginia produces an easy burning, smooth, cool smoke with a rich vanilla flavour and aroma. This tobacco is ideal for beginners who are looking for an easy going sweet smoke with very little tongue bite.

Gauntleys - Vanilla. Quite a good smoke.
The mixture looks as though it contains a high proportion of Cavendish tobaccos with a strong aromatic aroma of sweet vanilla. It's a little too moist so will require airing, it's not saturated but a bit damp.
Once packed it lights easily. It only needs a minimum run with the flame. Then, as it says in the description, it gives off a cool smoke that's VERY rich with vanilla. Of all the vanilla smokes I have had this is up there with the most omnipotent of them all. There is no mistaking that this has been flavoured with a large quantity of vanilla.
To be fair, I find the vanilla a bit too strong to really be able to pick out many of the natural tobacco flavours. It seems like a 'full on' aromatic.
There is very little nicotine to be had from this blend. It would be great for new folks and taste only smokers.
The room note is a touch too heavy for me. I wouldn't say it's offensive but it creates rather a lot of smoke!
I think this is a good aromatic blend but it's just a little too false for my taste!
Two and a half stars.
