This will probably be my last review of 2014 since it is New Year's Eve. I look back on my reviews, and the number I write per year has certainly dropped off from the first several years I began pipe smoking. To wit... I'm smoking a nice bowl of this aromatic as I type. Not a "candy" type or beginner aromatic. Asked the gentleman at the shop for something different in an aromatic and this is what he recommended. I usually smoke English blends with aromatics smoked occasionally. The blend is not a goopy or heavily case type but it is moderately moist. Out of the bag, the blend has a nice berry and slightly fruity smell. It is made up of cased black Cavendish with some brown Virginia ribbon in the mix. It smokes sweet, not surprisingly, with a nice burnt Cavendish flavor. Very smooth with no tongue bite to speak of. Nice room note.
Happy New Year 2015 Everybody!
