Coffee and chocolate are used together in so many foods and drinks that we thought that it was time to offer you a pipe tobacco with these two great flavors. The chocolate flavor is deep and rich, more of a dark chocolate. Then we bring in a black coffee note. To keep the blend from being bitter, we add a creamy vanilla to balance everything.

Pipesandcigars.com - Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean (Russ' Monthly Blend).

Recently, I posted a review on Peterson Special Reserve 2019, another coffee/chocolate aromatic, and this is better!

The mixture contains about 30% black, some of it's fairly coarse but the majority's ribbons, the moisture's good, and it smells nice; although coffee's present, the overall aroma's sweet. So, it doesn't imply an overly astringent coffee flavoured smoke.

The smoke scores high, in my view. The coffee takes a lead over the other components, but isn't the 'only' flavour. The chocolate and vanilla collaborate nicely, giving a sweet, creamy, flavour which keeps the coffee in check. The toppings aren't enough to completely subconrad and smother the tobaccos, but they are running the show. The tobaccos aren't too heavy tasting. Sweet Virginia and coarse Burley are the major players. I don't find it awash with Cavendish. Every bowl has remained free from bite, burnt evenly, medium temperature, and creates fairly thick smoke.

Nicotine: mild to medium. Room-note: nice.

Chocolate Covered Espresso Bean? Looks like I'm the first to highly recommend it:

Mild Very Mild Mild Pleasant to Tolerable

This is a blend that the FDA regulations is supposed to kill off. No big loss. I didn't find or expect any nicotine. A slight flavor of semi sweet chocolate. No tongue bite. I like McLelland Columbian Mocha better. A pleasant pouch aroma that is better than the smoke. Note: don't buy a tobacco based on pouch aroma .

I tried this becuase Russ knows what he's doing. I think the chocolate needs to be bumped up a bit. I couldn't realy tell if it was my cowboy coffee, or i had a bad tastebud day. if you want something thats not coffee or chocolate then this is your blend.

A good balance of casing/topping and tobacco flavor. Not overwhelming. You can taste the chocolate and coffee/espresso flavors but it still tastes like tobacco. Not super high in nicotine but there is some. Definitely worth giving it a try IMO.

The smell when opening the box is over whelming and great. Cut is more ribbon and is easily packed. First pipe is not pleasant. I have a lot of tounge bite at first lite. As the bowl burns down the flavors are hit and miss and very subtle. Room note seems to be the same. One moment I have a marboro and the next I have pipe tobacco. PLEAS NOTE: this is also what was left in the bag for 5 days after jaring the rest. I will try a few more pipes of this blend and write another review
