The nutty, earthy, lightly molasses sweet, woody, toasty burley plays below the level that the brown sugary black cavendish does. The deeply rich black cherry topping fairly tones down the tobaccos without drowning them out. The nic-hit is a couple of steps past the mild mark. The strength and taste levels just hit the medium threshold. Won’t bite or get harsh even if pushed. Barely has any roughness. Burns cool, clean, and a little slow with a smooth, very consistent flavor from start to finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and requires some relights. Has a very pleasant lingering after taste, and room note. Not quite an all day smoke.

Gawith Hoggarth - Exclusive Black Cherry.
Wow, what a wonderful sweet cherry aroma, one that just grabs me straight away. I can quickly establish that the mix is prominently Black Cav' with a superb moisture amount. The course cut is quite magnanimous in its sizes: mostly thick and long pieces. Getting this blend lit is remarkably straight forward, a medium length touch of the flame is plenty to supply an even/consistent burn which delivers a fairly cool smoke. The flavour of cherries isn't as strong as the aroma had me expecting. Yes, I get a genuine taste of the cherries but it is a lot softer than a lot of other cherry aro's, e.g Sam G' Black Cherry. This "softness" is a pleasant surprise as it doesn't outweigh the Black Cav' taste too much, it lets you appreciate all aspects of the blend. The nicotine is mild, as expected from an aro'. This is very good in the tongue bite department as well, it would really suit a hard puffer. The room-note is a fairly heavy one, mainly Cav' with a sweet note also, but it's very heavy so be careful who you smoke this one around! This would make a pleasant desert smoke.
Three stars.

I don't normally smoke aromatics. But I do like the occasional cherry aro.
Unfortunately, most cherry aromatics I find are overly sweet, gloopy and artificial tasting, this one isn't one of them.
The tobacco is slightly sweet, smooth and undoubtedly cased with some lakeland essence, but not much. The cherry flavor is nicely dark and sour and actually quite natural tasting. It's quite nice as far as cherry aromatics go but the lakeland flavor I'm getting from my 10g sample is throwing me a bit.
Edit - A few bowls later.
I'm gonna upgrade this to 3 stars from 2. Yes I'm still getting that lakeland essence but it does blend nicely with the dark bitter cherry flavor. It burns well requiring minimal attention, and is a relatively slow burner too. And best of all it doesn't bite.

Like many, I've been on quest to find a decent cherry blend. Well, this is it. This is a natural cherry flavor. I like candied cherry flavors but every tobacco I try like that turns your mouth into scorched earth. This one doesn't. It's smooth and easy to smoke and adds enough flavor to make it enjoyable without any hint of harshness. You can still taste the quality GH tobaccos underneath. OK, I don't know if they are quality tobaccos or not and I hate it when reviewers say something like that! Let's be honest, we just know whether or not we like it. I worked tobacco shops for 20 years and I can't tell you which brands have "high grade" tobacco in them. After all, how many of us have made a living raising, grading or sorting tobacco? Almost none of us but we all like to pretend we are knowledgeable and sophisticated. So again, the reality is we just know we like it and we didn't find any bugs in it when we put it in our pipes. For all I know, it's dried cabbage that GH&Co has some how figured out how to make delicious. GH gets a lot of their tobacco's from places like Malawi and Indian. Is that quality? I have no idea. When you picture tobacco farmers in those places do you picture Mercedes Benz Combines driven by chauffeurs spritzing the fields with evian natural spring water while farmers sip champagne in the back of the cab? I don't. I picture people living at or just above poverty level harvesting this delicious weed by hand hoping to make it through the day without getting eaten by a tiger or a lion so you and I can enjoy it from the comfort of our porches. But I digress. Try some of this if you want a decent cherry blend.
