Here is something new for the smoker who likes a sweet pleasant flavor and nice aroma. A good, mild blend with a distinctive flavor of wild cherries.

Well strangely this is considered an aromatic. To me it doesn't smoke like an aromatic because I find when smoking it an insignificant amount of topping. There is a subtle ripe cherry scent in the bag note, but it smokes simply like a high quality Burley. It burns beautifully, took the first good light, packs easily, doesn't burn too fast, and smokes to a fine white ash. Seems to do great with gentle puffs. It's smooth, creamy, nutty, a nice full flavored tobacco taste. To the touch it has a soft feel and feels 'healthy', but not a wet feel at all. No moisture buildup in the bowl at the end. It's an excellent Burley tobacco, so if you like Burley's give this a try, if you're looking for a sweet aromatic cherry this isn't it.

Delicious High grade Burleys are what we have going here. I only got an occasional wisp of cherry here and there, not really enough to classify this blend as an aromatic. Burn was excellent down to a fine gray ash. I will be buying more!

I am a long time user of this site but I am just returning to posting reviews. I posted many in years past but never got around to re-activating my account. So here goes again:
This is a great old-fashioned, nutty, cool, dry-burning burley blend. It is not a sweet cherry aromatic at all. Probably not for folks who prefer sweet cavendish, black cavendish, etc. Like most all Peretti burleys, it has their signature hint (and just a hint) of that floral/powder dusting that is noticeable at first then goes away. I love it. If you know Peretti you know what I mean. In terms of cherry, yes you can taste/smell a slight bit of cherry, but it is very light in the background. Burns clean, cool, no bite, easy all the way down. Absolutely top rate. If you like Peretti burleys you will like this. If you like OTC / Codger blends like Prince Albert, Sir Walter Raleigh, Carter Hall, Granger, Edgeworth (now Sutliff), Velvet, etc., you flat out owe it to yourself to try this. It’s a classic old school nutty burley pipe tobacco. Don’t let the name “Wild Cherry” fool you. This tobacco deserves more reviews than it has. One of my favorite burleys.
