Bulk: This is My Reserve with a tad bit of black, smoky Latakia quite discernible in the background.
Taste & Aroma: Comparing to MR: Considerably less VA signature, the smoky Latakia masking it; the Latakia fairly discernible. With less VA tang, the smoke could be said to be a little creamy. Occasionally, a vanilla honey taste is experienced on the tongue.
Room Note: The most pleasant a Latakia mixture could be.
Overall: A decent, but not great, English blend. Could be an all-day smoke, maybe indoors. 3.8 stars.

I am not positive, but I think the exact same Virginia was used in this one as the original My Reserve (okay, not the same vintage, but the same style). The only difference was the added belting of Latakia. Not nearly as reserved as the descriptive indicates, this one will let you know that you are smoking an English style blend in a hurry. Wonderful combination of flavors!

I've been trying this on/off for several months. As of now, "the jury's still out". IMHO, Not a true English & too smoky for a VA. I hope it grows on me, as I've been satisfied shopping with McCranie's for many years. But, my pressing search, for now is a milder British. I've smoked Commonwealth & British Woods for years........ But, as I'm reaching seven decades, I'm needing something tamer. I'm not sure if this is it. Though, it is not offensive, nor does it seem to bite.

Je le recommande aux novice comme aux vielle pipes, je l aurais aime un peu plus coriace, mais il est tout de même excellent. je recommande une pipe droite sans filtre.
