This is a truly great VaPer even though it did not find its way into my regular rotation.
I love the presentation of the tobacco. I remains lit quite easily and tastes of hay and citrus fruits with a specifically citric touch I haven't found in any other tobacco. It's restrained yet fairly complex. The taste is medium to full. We still live in a world of abundance when it comes to pipe tobacco offerings and there's just a few blends that I hold even dearer, but don't let that detain you from trying this curly at least once.

I have spent the last three evenings getting to know Synjeco’s Ambleside Curly. AC is made up of small coins similar in style to Three Nuns, although this tobacco is a mix of darker tans than Three Nuns. It’s moist and needs to be dried some. Once lit, it’s easy to tell that this was likely made by Gawith Hoggarth although the Synjeco site just lists Kendal. There is a pretty good amount of Perique in AC, but it isn’t very peppery. AC burns very smoothly and I don’t detect much of a topping, at least compared to other blends from that region. AC is has deep flavor and is a bit earthy in taste. As VaPers go, AC offers very little sweetness, although I am sure some time in the cellar may sweeten it up a bit. There is no bite, even when pushed, this tobacco is very forgiving. While I wouldn’t call it strong in the nic department, it isn’t a lightweight either so those sensitive to Lady N, take note. Ambleside Curly is an exceptionally smooth and delicious VaPer for those that like a good dose of Perique.
