A very nicely presented Virginia that has a sweet, rather than grassy taste and the processing of the leaf must have included a lot of steaming because I got no tongue bite at all. Certainly worth smoking over and over again if you are a Virginia lover who prefers a light touch on the nicotine and a barrel full of Virginia flavor.

OK, so let me start by saying I have smoked MANY VA blends and this one is in a league of its own! To me this is what a ribbon cut VA blend should taste like, sweet notes from the red va and a nice creamy earthy note in the background that stays with you thru the whole bowl. If you like VA's give this one a try, you won't be disappointed 🙂

Old Toby has some ketchup notes, similarly to many Mclleland blends. It is a delicious and mild to medium strength blend. The burley really mellows out the Va. If you can, ask Nat for some of this blend with the 10 year old Virginia. It takes a good blend to the next level. An overall excellent every day smoke.

Opened up a year old jar. Packed it in a Peterson with gravity feed. Lit with matches. Chard quick. Relight and smoked. Smoke time 1 hour 17 minutes. This is a very basic Virgina toned down to the point it tastes like sugar candy. I ordered samples of each tobacco and this was the first I tried. Smelled like hay. Tasted like cotton candy. Gave a good room note. Was not happy or impressed. If you are a bubble gum cheer this might be your cup of tea. Maybe it's an age thing but I doubt it. This tobacco totally was non descriptive. Sad.
